A Tribute
Tuesday, January 30th, 2007We have made it back from our week-long trip to Vancouver. We had a beneficial time and met a lot of wonderful people and it did not rain even once while we were there! We will give a more specific update in the days to come. But for now, I want to give a tribute to my Grandma.
On our first day of driving to Vancouver, I received some sad news that my grandma was in the hospital and not expected to make it through the day. And it turned out that she only lived a couple more hours. But the good news is that she is now truly living in heaven for all eternity because she believed that Jesus is Lord and that He died in her place. That’s why she is in heaven and I cannot wait to see her again someday. She was a lovely woman; devoted wife; proud mother, grandmother, and great grandmother; avid sports fan; servant; quick-witted and hilarious, and all around “fun” lady with a sparkle in her eyes.
This picture sums her up pretty well:

This kid is funny…I don’t know what Evan’s thing is with taking off his socks.
