June 14th, 2007 by SuzanneThere is a family that we know from Lubbock that needs your prayers. Their names are Matt and Wendy Carr, and they have 2 precious little ones. We do not know them well, but our hearts go out to them just the same. You can read about their story here.
Please pray for Wendy and her family. They are faithful believers and would appreciate your prayers on their behalf.

Oh, my heart just breaks for the family. We will be praying for them, and that God’s will be done. I’ll be checking their blog to find out how Wendy is doing.

what happened to her, that made her pass away? i looked at the blog but didnt figure it out.

Wendy had a virus (flu like symptoms) that traveled to her heart. Her body was weakened from having a C-section and having lost a lot of blood - she had to have two units of blood transfused. On top of that, she lost a lot of potassium when the swelling from her pregnancy went down quickly. We didn’t want to put that on the website because Mason should never think that he had anything to do with his mother’s death (nor should anyone else).
Ultimately, she passed out when her heart enlarged from the virus. She was without oxygen for too long and the majority of her brain function ceased. Her body died on Saturday when she was taken off the vent, but we think she was with Jesus Monday night this all happened.
