Happy Birthday, Joe!
December 16th, 2007 by SuzanneYesterday was Joe’s birthday. And not just any birthday - he turned 30! The day was full of some of his favorite things…we started out with sausage balls for breakfast and then we went Christmas shopping (which is not his favorite, but it was the best time to go). I made his favorite meal for dinner, and then we ended the day with a surprise party with some of our favorite friends. We had his favorite kind of cupcakes, which I didn’t hesitate using as a clear reminder of how old he is:
Happy Birthday, Joe! We love you so much - gray hairs and all!

I wish we could have been there to celebrate with you…

At least your hair is light enough that the gray hairs don’t stand out too much. hehehe….Happy Belated Birthday!!!

I wish we could have been there to celebrate with you, Joseph! What cute cupcakes!
But I don’t think you’re old. Not old at all. I have never seen a gray hair on your head. If we had been there you would have felt young just from the contrast.
Happy Happy Birthday our dear Joseph. May God richly bless you this year above all years that have come before!

So sorry to have missed the celebration. We had something come up, last minute, and couldn’t get away. But the Bowling family does wish you the happiest of birthdays, and we miss being able to see yall (especially on special occassions like this).

Thanks to all for the “Happy Birthday” wishes! Suzanne had planned a great day for me, and I’m so grateful for her. Being a Saturday, I got to spend the whole day with her and Evan, see friends, and eat great food.
And, though some took the opportunity (30 YEARS!!!) to point out that my life is nearing the end, a couple of people actually said that life is just beginning. Of course, there was that one comment that life doesn’t begin until 40, in which case I’m not even born yet…so, why am I still typing? I’ve still got 10 years to do nothing until I’m born!

Late as ususl Joseph , I will tryto do better in the future. Speaking of OLD, you are not. Try three times 30. Look for your B Day present in some of the late Xmas cards. Wish you the Happiest of Birthdays , and the arrival of your new baby girl. Love, D-Dad

Happy Birthday Joe. D-Dad says your not OLD. So, I agree with him and since I’m only 33 D-Dad would say I’m not OLD either. Love ya bro. What a great Christmas card. It is the best one I’ve seen of the entire season. Loved it! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year too!
