It’s Party Time
March 11th, 2008 by SuzanneWith a busy weekend ahead, we decided to celebrate Evan’s birthday a little early. And with sickness going around, some of our sweet friends couldn’t make it (we missed you guys!). We had fun anyway, and enjoyed cake and ice cream:
Evan likes cake and trains, so he was one happy boy.
He especially likes Thomas the Tank Engine, and we realized tonight that he likes trains MORE than cake. How can he be my child?! Choosing a weird (in my opinion) train over dessert? That’s crazy! More for me! I bought that train in the above picture to go on Evan’s cake - it’s Henry from Thomas the Tank Engine. “He”turned out to be too big for the cake, so I went ahead and gave it to Evan before the party as an early birthday present…a bit like opening one present on Christmas Eve. Well, most of the evening, we heard, “I want Hen-wee.”
Evan has already enjoyed playing with all of the fun toys he was given,with “Hen-wee” in one hand, of course.

Oh my goodness! That is quite possibly the cutest cake in the history of cakes. If you made it, I am seriously going to have to hit you when I see you. Absolutely adorable! I can’t believe Evan is three. I can’t wait to see him!!

What a fun cake! So sad we missed the celebration. We’ll have to stop by and see the birthday boy once we’re all feeling better.

Such a creative way to lay out the train track! Very fun design! I bet Evan will enjoy his yummy cake later! Birthday parties are so busy!

Suz, did you make that cake? In addition to your photography skills, you also have cake decorating skills. You could open a business!
Anyway, happy, happy birthday to Evan! We will have a very belated birthday party for him next month. Three years old already — my goodness, how time flies.

Hey, everyone! Yes, I made that cake. It was fun! I got a cake decorating kit a couple of years go for Christmas, so I try to put it to good use when I can.
