*Warning*: Cuteness Overload

March 28th, 2008 by Suzanne

One of my favorite things in the entire world is hearing little children sing. When the kids choir sings at church, I either get a little teary-eyed or can’t stop giggling at the sweetness of those little voices singing about God. Even if they are usually a little off-key. I think I can understand why Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me…” Their innocence and child-like faith just get me every time.

Imagine my joy when I get to hear my child sing every day! Evan loves to sing. His favorite tune is Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star, but he knows lots of songs and sings them throughout the day, sometimes pretending to strum the guitar while he sings, and often getting the words wrong.

Here’s a glimpse of the little guy singing last week. I had to video him in the chair, because it’s one of the only times he is still enough to get on video! Enjoy!

  1. Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star
  2. Row, Row, Row Your Boat

What do you think…future American Idol?

That sure is cute!!!!!! I sure miss playing with that little guy. I’d say he has a great chance to be an American Idol, without a doubt. He’s certainly got my vote.

Aaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!! I smiled so big and actually giggled out loud all by myself! So cute. I’m going to squeeze him so hard when I get my hands on him. I promise I won’t hurt him though.

If I were there I would hug and kiss you, Evan! I hope you will sing for me when you come home to Texas. I’ll teach you a new song — “the stars at night, are big and bright …. deep in the heart of Texas.”

    Yee Ha!

now…when i watched both of these little videos…with evan sitting in teh same spot, but wearing different outfits, i got the feeling that he had been “placed” there specifically to sing these songs, so a certain someone’s could post them on youtube. where is the free will of children to spontaneously sing and make music. he was practically crying for being forced to sing. i am surprised he could even compose himself for the second song.

    this is a travesty!

so when do i get to see more?

@kenny g: Yeah, yeah, yeah. It’s funny, though. E always sings at the table. O’course, he sings everywhere, but it’s just easier to get him on camera when we got him strapped into his seat!
