Ruffles

Having a girl is so fun. I meant to include this picture in the last post, but I forgot, so you get 2 posts in a row about our girl.

I was changing little M’s clothes after church last week, and couldn’t resist taking a few pictures of her, because there are RUFFLES! ON HER BUM!

Tiny Dancer

Our girl is just so dainty! She often points her toes when she sits, and she looks like she’s doing ballet or something when she pulls up on things.:

Any day now…

For the last 2 or 3 weeks, we’ve been saying, “Any day now!” And lo and behold, today was finally the day that we get to be an aunt and uncle for the seventh time! Sweet baby girl decided to make her entrance -10 days late, I might add! Congrats, J & R!

My friend Amy tagged me! I haven’t done one of these in a while, so here we go…

7 Random Things About Me:

1) I first got my nickname “Suz” in high school when a friend didn’t believe that I didn’t have a middle name. So, I told her that my first name was Suz and my middle name Anne. People have called me Suz ever since.

2) I’ve never been in a car accident (thank you , Lord), but I fell out of the car when I was 3 or 4 years old. The thing was, the car was moving – we were driving on the access road to the highway. I distinctly remember playing with my seat belt, then playing with the door handle, and then suddenly being on my hands and knees in the middle of the road. Scary Larry! The good Lord was watching over me! Automobile safety has come a long way since then.

3) My great grandmother was a cook for the Pope.

4) I don’t really enjoy cleaning, but I can’t stand it when my house is messy. Sometimes, though, I get in “OCD cleaning mode” and I can’t stop cleaning until everything on my list is checked off. I also really enjoy walking down the cleaning product aisle and trying new cleaning supplies.

5) I really like to-do lists. More so, I like crossing things off of my list. I’ll often do something that’s not on my list and then write it on my list just so I can cross it off.

6) I am a creative and artistic person in an uncreative person’s body. I love to make things – I’ve done some sewing, painting, cake decorating, and scrapbooking. It’s a good thing that lots of other people are creative and have good ideas, because my ideas never turn out as cool as they seem in my head.

7) I’m a bit of a germophobe. I carry hand sanitizer with me at all times. I despise public restrooms, and I wash my hands first thing when I get home from the store – those carts are nasty! I cringe a little those mornings at church when they tell you to greet the people around you, because this always leads to lots of hand shaking of people I don’t know. After I shake all of those hands, I can’t help but think about the germs that are on my hand, and I might even discreetly pull out my hand sanitizer. It’s nothing personal, I’m just a little obsessive compulsive or something. I also have a hard time at hotels. I can’t help but think of all of the people who have slept in the bed before me. I should never have watched those Dateline episodes that took samples from the bedding in various hotels. The results were SICK, I tell ya.

Side note – I’m not like this with my kids. It does not bother me if they put dirt or leaves in their mouths or eat something off of the floor.

Additional side note – I have lots of quirks! We can still be friends. Just don’t shake my hand. ;) Just kidding.

*Edited to add: I’m tagging, Leslie, Robin, Carly, Aimee, and Jennifer.
