Thanksgiving.
Christmas.
Several birthdays and other celebrations.
Getting settled in our home.
That is our last few months in a very small nutshell. And now it’s a new year and we are excited to see what’s in store. What better way to ring in a new year than to celebrate the birthday of one very special girl?
Our sweet girl turned four, and if I had the option to freeze her at this age, I just might, but how we love watching her grow up, too. How could I possibly put into words what she means to our family? I can’t. I think I’ll just go cry now and thank the Lord for such a sweet gift.
This girl is compassionate. One day last week, we left the house, just the two of us, to go run errands. Her little brother cried at the door because he wanted to to go outside as well. We didn’t even make it to the car before she started crying, too. “I’m sad that he’s crying,” was all she could muster. I took my sweet, tenderhearted little girl back inside to give him a hug before we could go on our way.
She is silly. Her funny faces and dramatic hand gestures keep us laughing.
She is independent and feisty. She may be little, but she can hold her own.
She is gracious, kind, and smart and has taught us a lot her in four years. Happy birthday to our extra sweet little four year old. We love you to the moon and back!

What a beautiful 4 yr old! And her room is lovely. Today AJ asked when we could go see Evan, Maren & Eli. “Do you know where their house is? Can we go there? I think Joe and Suzanne will be there too!”
We miss you all!
We miss you guys, too. I wish you weren’t so far from here.
